• Question: why could the mayans not be bothered to write calendars any further than 2012

      They believed that the world would end in 2012 so I guess they thought “what’s the point?”.

      Apparently the Mayan calendar doesn’t end in 2012, if anything, it’s cyclic so it’ll just go over to the next era and start at day 0 again, you can go back and reuse the old calendar.
