I loved school, I had some great teachers and had loads of fun as well as learning a lot. I also played on the school rugby team, and am still involved with rugby, but don’t play much now. I really enjoyed most subjects except art and music. I am still friends with a lot of people I went to school with, but haven’t been back to visit it for years.

Ups and downs! I had years where I loved school and others where I got really bored. My school was very strict, and as soon as I was old enough I left and went to college. I was much happier then, being able to choose my own topics to study kept me focussed! Like David, I’m still friends with a lot of people I met at school 🙂

School for me was quite uneventful, nothing that exciting ever happened and I didn’t really get inspired until Alevels, and it wasn’t because I loved what I was learning (ok I liked physics alot) but the fact I had some room to think for myself rather than trying to remember textbooks.

I loved primary school because I had some really good teachers who made a real effort to make science and other subjects exciting. Secondary school was uninspiring and I was bored a lot of the time. At school teachers make you think that everything is known and set in stone but now I know that a lot of the things I learnt at school have only recently been found and there is so much that we don’t know. I was much happier at university when I could chose what I wanted to study and do more than just sit in a classroom all day!
