Question: what interests you about animals under the sea?

I’ve always been fascinated with the sea and what lives in it. Marine animals live in such a different environment and set of conditions to our own. The deep sea is the least explored ecosystem on our planet, our very own inner space, so for me it is a source of mysery and wonder. I want to know more about what lives down there and how those animals have evolved and adapted to their environment. I’m particularly interested in patterns of life in the world’s oceans; what animals live where and what are the factors that shape those patterns.
