• Question: What grades do you have to get to become a scientist?

      I really don’t think grades are fundamental, they are just to get your foot into the door of the courses/university. Once you’re in, only few people ask what grades your Alevels/degree were.

      of course with better grades you have better chances to get into a prestigious institution, but that’s another story.

      Good grades help but as long as you have the interest and enthusiasm there will be a way in. 🙂

      Some of the best scientists didn’t do well at school. If you want to study science after school the universities you apply to will tell you what grades you will need to get a place. At school it’s all about getting good grades but then you learn that other strengths are just as important. Do the best that you can and never let anybody discourage you from what you want to do. If you really want to do it there is always a way. Knowing what you want to do is the half the battle!

      You can be a scientist with any grades. Einstein didn’t have very good grades and nearly didn’t get into University!
