• Question: Regarding nuclear waste, are there people working on ways of say, reducing its radioactivity so it is radiactive for less time?

      Bultitude – Yes there are. There are types of reactors being proposed which called fission-fusion hybrids, which would use nuclear waste as one if its fuels, thus reducing the ammount of waste we have to store for thousands of years. No one has built one yet but you can read about the ide in more detail here
