      Lazers arent real, but lasers are! A number of devices that emit a type of light (photons) is called a laser. They can be used in a variety of settings and in fact, I have a laser pen that I use when I want to point at something when Im giving a talk!

      Yes they are! We use lasers sometimes. When we take video footage of hydrothermal vents we use video cameras and lasers attached to an underwater vehicle. The cameras give us the video footage and the lasers give us a sense of how big things are in the footage (because we know how big the laser beam is).
